Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh in central India is another famous national park and tiger reserve with high density of tigers and other mammals along with flora and fauna. With an area of core zone of 940 sq kms , national park has tow entrance gates at opposite ends – Kisli and Mukki.

Besides the sighting of Royal Bengal Tigers, Kanha National Park is also famous for high density of Barasingha ( Swamp Deer ). Other wildlife found in the park is Jackal, Sloth bear, Sambhar , Deer , Leopard , Indian wolf , wild dog etc.

Kanha Reserve is being famed for impressive amount of wildlife tour where every animal lover just throw himself to catch the royal glimpses of the most majestic animals including the royal tiger and Barasingha.

Visitors to the park can observe the wildlife by a Jeep safari twice in a day – Morning and Evening. If you are a real wildlife lover or photographer , another way to enjoy the wildlife in Kanha National Park is Elephnat Safari. Take a Tiger Show program during the morning safari and go on the back of the elephant for about 10-15 minutes to see the tiger at its pre-spotted site OR take an elephant safari for full day which need to be pre-booked at least 30 days in advance at a very high price.

The nearest airport to Kanha National park is Jabalpur Airport which is around 160 kms and takes about 4 hours by car. Kanha National Park is around 215 Kms from Bandhavgarh National park and around 200 kms from Pench National Park.
