Ranakpur, a small town between Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthan is famous for its Jain Temples. It is around 90 kms from Udaipur and 160 kms from Jodhpur and is in the valley of western side of Aravali range of mountains.

Renowned marble Jain temples at Ranakpur are dedicted to Teerthankar Adinath , the first teerthankar in the series of 24 worshiped in Jainism. The temples are of 15th century and are masterpieces of architecture. The town of Ranakpur and the temple are named after the provincial ruler monarch, Rana Kumbha who supported the construction of the temple.
