Kota & Bundi ,  twin cities in norther Indian state of Rajasthan are just about 30 kms away from each other. The city of Kota was once the part of the erstwhile  Rajput Kingdom of Bundi. It became a separate princely state in the 17th century. Apart from the several monuments that reflect the glory of the town, Kota is also known for its palaces and gardens.

Unlike other chaotic cities of Rajasthan, Bundi is a clam and slow pace city. Taragarh Fort or Star Fort on a steep hillside was built in 1354. The panoramic views of the city from the fort are amazing.
